Dead Man Down premiere w Noomi Rapace & Terrence Howard

I graphed the Dead Man Down premiere this week with Noomi Rapace as my biggest goal.  Colin Farrell was also supposed to be there but I have really really bad luck with him.  Well the good news is I got Noomi.  The bad news is my awful luck streak with Colin continues. I didn't get his autograph at Total Recall.  At Seven Psychopaths he signed my photo in ballpoint pen (ruined the photo).  And he was skipping around and being erratic at Dead Man Down.  I'm getting really really sick of his attitude.  Every time I've seen him in the past year Colin just has this extreme arrogance about him. It's hard to explain it, but he just really seems like he's not that nice of a person.

But enough of the negativity.  I got the real star of the night, Noomi Rapace.  She came over and signed a good amount and I was able to get her autograph on all three of the Girl With the Dragon Tattoo movie posters.  I was really happy to essentially complete this set.

And Terrance Howard was pretty nice too and signed for all the fans at the premiere.  I just had a poster shot 12x18 along and he signed it for me.

That's all I got at this premiere.

Daniel Radcliffe: Harry freaking Potter

I got Harry Potter's autograph!!!!! I'm pretty happy about this.  I actually read the books and have watched the movies and I just appreciate the cultural significance of Harry Potter.  So I was really happy to meet Daniel Radcliffe for the first time and get his autograph.  He was really nice and signed up a storm for everyone.  I got his autograph on my two 11x14s and then got him on a baseball too since he was still signing and I didn't have any photos left.

Eli Roth

Eli Roth has been out and about in LA this week doing press and I went to one of his appearances to get some autographs.  He was pretty cool and rolled down his car window when he saw a few fans waving items for him to sign. I got him on both the two 11x14 photos I had along.

Jack the Giant Slayer: Nicholas Hoult, Eleanor Tomlinson, and more

Yep I went to Jack the Giant Slayer premiere.  I had a few things I needed Nicholas Hoult on and I think Bryan Singer is a decent director so I'm hoping that Jack will be a good movie.  I ended up doing really well.

First was a really pleasant surprise:  Ewen Bremner.  You just don't see this guy much in LA.  So when I saw him get out of his town car and come over to sign I immediately pulled out my Black Hawk Down cast 11x14 and I was ecstatic to get him on it since he's a decently big role.  I also added him to my Jack the Giant Slayer cast 12x18.

Below my Black Hawk Down has on it: Tom Sizemore, Ty Burrell, Eric Bana, Brian Van Holt, Jason Isaacs, and Ewen.

Next was another nice surprise, as I wasn't sure he was going to the premiere.  Bill Nighy came over and signed and I had my Davy Jones Pirates of the Caribbean 11x14 along and I got him on it and also on my cast Jack 12x18.

Next was Nicholas Hoult.  He definitely did not sign as much as he did at Warm Bodies, but he was still really nice and signed for everyone and took photos with fans who asked.  He was thanking everyone for coming out, and was just a really nice dude.  I got him on five 11x14s and my cast 12x18.

Eleanor Tomlinson was also really nice.  She didn't sign on the way in but four of us waited for her on exits and she came right over when I called her and took my blue sharpie.  She signed my photo and then her publicist said, "Oh Eleanor don't sign in blue, does anyone have a black?".  So apparently if you go for Eleanor have a black sharpie handy.  I got her on two 11x14s and also my cast 12x18.

Here's my finished cast 12x18.  It ended up with Nicholas, Eleanor, Bill, and Ewen on it.

Russell Crowe: Maximus Decimus Meridius

I will always associate Russell Crowe with the movie role of Maximus in Gladiator.  I remember when that movie came out in 2000 I went to see it multiple times in theatre and got the dvd and watched it endlessly in the next year.  So I was pretty happy when Russell was doing some press in Los Angeles this week and I was able to get some autographs.  Everyone and their mother came out for Russell.  There were probably sixty people there and he signed for everyone. I was able to get three photos signed.  One 12x18 and two 11x14s (all Gladiator images!).

Below: some of the crowd. I'm about half way back in the line, there are way more people behind me:

Karolina Kurkova from The Face

Karolina Kurkova is a former Victoria's Secret Angel and now she is working on a new TV show called The Face.  She was out promoting The Face this week in Los Angeles and I went to get some autographs from her.  She was really nice and signed a bunch for the fans that came out.  I got four 11x14s signed and walked away pretty happy.

Ewan McGregor and Alice Englert

Last week Ewan and Alice were out and about promoting Jack the Giant Slayer and Beautiful Creatures on the same day and both signed some autographs and were gracious to all the fans.

Ewan is a pretty good signer.  He is pretty much a lock that at a premiere or event he will sign.  He's very quick about it, but that's fine with me.  I really want to get him on my The Impossible poster, but I'm waiting until I get Naomi Watts on it first (she is really tough).  Ewan signed my two 11x14s from Star Wars on this day.

Since Alice isn't someone I've met before I wasn't sure what to expect so all I had was one photo of her and a poster shot.  Well she was pretty nice and signed both my 11x14s.

Jekyll & Hyde Play Opening

I'm not a huge fan of graphing play openings. . . you never know who is going to come and it usually turns into chaos. But I did the Jekyll & Hyde opening nonetheless.  I was only out for a couple hours so while I didn't get a lot signed, it wasn't like I spent a lot of time at the event.

Masiela Lusha is always really nice.  I had three 8x10s along and she signed them all in a row for me.

I don't think Elena Satine knew the chaos that was about to hit her when she arrived.  A wall of photos surrounded her and I could tell she was a little overwhelmed.  She still signed a decent amount and I got two 8x10s signed.

Marla Maples showed up (I'm not sure who she is . . .) but I got her autograph on one 8x10.

And lastly I got Vanessa Marano on two 8x10s. I didn't get a picture of her signing because she asked me for a black sharpie (my buddy held out a blue) and while I was fumbling for her photos and finding a black sharpie I couldn't get to my camera in my pocket before she signed and then bolted away like lightning.

And that is all.
